Our Philosophy

Since its founding in 2003, The New American Gallery has attempted to set a high standard for art on the Internet. Although nothing can match the experience of standing face to face with fine art in a museum or walk-in gallery, we believe that the Internet can play a vital role in keeping Americans in close touch with important work that is being done throughout the United States today. We are proud of the pioneering role that our gallery has played in bringing two-dimensional fine art to the Internet in an attractive and uncluttered format. Our formula is quite simple:

No ads. One of the first things our visitors notice is the absence of ads – no pop-up ads, no banners, and no display ads of any kind. Since we accept no advertising, we are able to offer our guests a pleasant, art-only environment while maintaining complete freedom to show work that we believe deserves attention.

No commissions. We receive no commission from artists whose work sells as a result of our online exhibitions. We refer collectors directly to the artists or the galleries that represent them.

No membership fees. Artists pay absolutely nothing to have their work displayed at The New American Gallery. We are an entirely self-funded enterprise.

No sign-in requirements. We never ask our guests to sign in or provide us with personal data. The service we provide comes without strings of any kind. |

Our Exhibitions

Throughout the year we create two types of exhibitions. On a regular basis we show work by our Featured Artists, a small group of professionals who live near the gallery's home in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. We maintain a Featured Artist page for each member of this group, and we periodically host a group exhibition that highlights their talents.

In addition, we carefully select artists from throughout the United States and create invitational exhibitions of work that we believe merits attention. Some of these artists are already well known throughout the country, while others are just beginning to make their mark. Either way, these artists are selected solely by the staff of The New American Gallery; and in all cases we create shows at our expense. The artists provide nothing more than slides or digital images.
